Priority
Behavioral Health
has been providing mental health services to Iberia and the surrounding
parishes since 2003.
Our Philosophy is to treat clients with dignity through a specifically
designed plan of treatment, improve quality of life, decrease dependence
on others, and assist clients in returning to their previous level of
functioning.
We would like to thank all of our past and present patients, as well as
all of you who have supported us through the years.

The staff at Priority Behavioral Health is pleased to be
of service to you. In order to be of greatest benefit to you and your
family, we would like you to become familiar with the programs, goals,
guidelines, and client expectations. Priority Behavioral Health will
provide a safe environment with a therapeutic program to meet your
needs. The team at Priority Behavioral Health consist of general practitioners,
nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, activity therapist, and
other professionals under the direction of a psychiatrist. A description
of all programs and services can be found throughout this website.
The purpose
of our program is to help you to overcome your current problems
and grow in the process. This requires active participation in all
program activities.
Your discharge and aftercare
plans are an important part of your recovery. Each client, with
the assistance of staff, will identify resources, support groups,
and other appropriate services or individuals to help you make a
healthy transition into the community.
Our mutual goal
is to provide you with skills and knowledge that will lead you towards
a more productive life.

Service Descriptions
Priority Behavioral Health
provides a large variety of mental health services, appropriate to
conditionsin this parish and surrounding communities. These services
include, at a minimum, the following:
Crisis
Stabilization and Response -including a 24 hour, 7 days
a week, crisis emergency service that is
prepared to respond to persons experiencing acute emotional, behavioral,
or social difficulties.
Partial
Hospitalization Program, an acute day treatment program
for individuals experiencing emotional and
psychiatric problems that make daily living difficult, especially
those with chronic mental illness. This
is more structured program than offered in the outpatient setting,
and offers a substantial cost savings over
inpatient treatment as well as the ability to sleep at home. Patients
may be directly admitted to the program
or may transfer from inpatient or outpatient treatment.
Outpatient
Addiction for treatment of drug, alcohol and other addiction
disorders.
Education,
Consultation and Referral services are also provided by
this facility. We educate the families,
the public, and caregivers on ways they can help to improve quality
of life and treatment methods
available to them.
Outpatient
services are offered for children,adolescents, adults,
geriatrics, and the chronically mentally ill.
Planning,
linking, coordinating, follow up and monitoring to assist
individuals in gaining access to services.
Mental
Health Advocacy-assistance will be provided as needed.
