The Priority
House is on Iberia Street in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Previously, it was a bed and breakfast and still retains the grace
and charm of its former state. The location is in a quite settled
area of town and offers a relaxed atmosphere conducive to reflection
and healing.
The
main house can be occupied by 8 residents in 4 large bedrooms.
A detached mother-in-law
suite can house 2 females.
Each room is furnished and has a bath and closet, as well as cable
TV.
A washer and
dryer are available on site.
Some meals are
provided.
A phone is available
for residents.
Transportation
is available for treatment and other needs related to their treatment.
A covered area
is provided for smokers.
A comfortable and spacious TV room is provided for residents.
Eligibility
Criteria Enrolled in Priority Behavioral
Health program.
Person with
psychiatric disorders or dual diagnoses.
Able to live
independently.
18 years or
older.
Assessed and
interviewed by Priority Behavioral
Health staff.
Have Medicare
or Private Insurance.
Medically detoxed
and stabilized.
Not a danger
to self or others.
